Data protection policy

Last update: May 2021

We are pleased that you are interested in our companies and our products and services respectively and would like that you also have no cause for concern in regard to the protection of your personal data when visiting our Internet pages.

The protection of your data is of importance to us

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. The observance of the regulations of the German Federal Data Protection Act is a matter of course for us.

We would like you to know when we are recording and processing which data and how we are using this. Technical and organizational measures have been taken to ensure that the provisions in connection with data protection are observed by us and also by external service providers.

Personal data

Personal data is information on your identity. Included here are, for example, details such as name, address, telephone number or e-mail address.

For the use of our Internet pages, it is, in general, not necessary to have to divulge personal data.

In certain cases however, we require your name and your address together with other details, so that we can provide the services requested.

The same applies, for example, to sending information material or replying to individual questions.

We will point this out accordingly wherever necessary.

In addition, we only record, process and use data which you have made available to us voluntarily or automatically by the use of the Internet (e.g. cookies, browser information).

If you make use of services, only such data will be recorded, processed and used which is required to fulfil the services.

Should we request more data from you, then this is voluntary information.

The recording, processing and use of personal data only takes place to fulfil the services or support requested and to ensure our own legitimate business interests.

Specified purpose use

We will record, process and use personal data made available to us online by you for the purposes communicated to you exclusively. Personal data will not be transferred to third parties without your agreement.

The recording, processing and use of personal data, as well as its transfer to governmental institutions and authorities which are entitled to receive such information, will only take place within the scope of the corresponding laws or as far as we are legally duty bound to do this as the result of a court order respectively.

Assigned purpose of the personal data

Personal data made available by you will be recorded, processed and used by us to reply to your enquiries, to process your requests or to provide access to certain information or offers to you.

To maintain customer relations, it may also be necessary for us, or for a service provider commissioned by us, to record, process and use personal data to inform you of product offers which are useful for your business activities or to carry out online surveys to be in a better position to fulfil the requests and demands of our customers.

We will neither sell personal data to third parties nor market this elsewhere.

Newsletters

Should we make a newsletter available and you register for this, we will only record, process and use personal data and details provided voluntarily. By registering for the newsletter, you have declared your agreement to this. You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter.

Once you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail. In this e-mail, you will find a link to confirm your registration. Only after this link has been clicked will your data be used to an appropriate degree for advertising and marketing purposes by means of our newsletter.

Contact / Contact form

Should you contact us via the contact form, we will record and process those details which you enter on the screen. We will use these to provide the information desired or to carry out the services requested by you, e.g. support and advice on our product portfolio.

Registration protected access area

If we provide a protected access area on our Internet pages and you log in to this area, then we will record, process and use your personal data for tracking and evaluating your visit without making the data anonymous. With registration, you have given your consent to this. Should you no longer wish this in future, you can deactivate or have this access deleted by sending a corresponding message to the e-mail address shown under the navigation point ‟Contactˮ.

Storage period

Personal data, which has been communicated to us via our Internet pages, will be stored until the purpose for which it has been entrusted to us has been fulfilled. Should trading and tax-based retention periods have to be observed, then the storage period can be up to 10 years for certain data.

Non-personal data which is recorded automatically

When our Internet pages are used, then the following data is stored for organizational and technical reasons: The names of the pages accessed by you, the name of the browser used by you and the name of your operating system, the date and the time of access, the search engine used by you, the names of downloaded files and your IP address.

We will evaluate this technical data anonymously and for statistical purposes only to continue to further optimize our Internet presence and to design our Internet services in an even more attractive way. This anonymous data will be stored separately from personal data on secured systems and allows no conclusions to be drawn in regard to an individual person. Your personal data and your privacy are therefore protected at all times.

Cookies

a) What exactly are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information which are stored on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when Internet pages are visited and which, in general, are used for a more effective de-sign of Internet pages. Some cookies (Session Cookies) are deleted automatically when the browser is closed, others (Persistent Cookies or Tracking Codes) are archived on the corre-sponding hardware until a certain expiration date or until the temporary memory of your browser has been emptied and enable us to be able to identify you as a repeated visitor to our Internet pages. The majority of Internet browsers accept cookies automatically. However, with simple clicking, you can change the settings of your browser if you do not wish this. More detailed in-formation on cookies can be found at aboutcookies ➚.

b) Why are cookies used by us?

We use cookies to:

  • guarantee a secure Internet environment
  • check our website performance and improve the user-friendliness as well as the online experience for our customers

We do not use cookies to track your Internet activities outside the Internet pages maintained by us.

The types of cookies named following are used by us to be better able to judge the way our online services are used by our customers and to configure our services in a better way. As a result, we can recognize, for example, when a process is too complex and the users discontinue the process for this reason. With this knowledge, the process steps can be simplified and con-figured in a more customer-orientated manner.

c) Which types of cookie exist?

Type of cookie Intended purpose
Session Cookies Are deleted after the browser has been closed. Serve to capture the navigation as well as the dwell time on the Internet pages and to keep your login active during the session.
Tracking Codes Do not contain any personal data. Capture from where the page view has taken place, which search engine has been used, which link has been clicked and which key word has been selected and pinpoints the location of the user at the time of the page view. Capture the number of visits as well as the duration of the first, the current and the previous visit. These cookies only record visits to the Internet pages maintained by us and are not activated during visits to other Internet pages.

You can delete the cookies inserted for our Internet pages. In this case however, your indi-vidual data and contents, including your cookie settings, will be lost and you will not be recognized as a returning visitor when you next view our Internet pages.

On information subpages about prescriptions such as https://recete.ireks.com.tr/ only technically necessary cookies are used.

d) Do you agree to our cookies?

We provide some online features to you which should make your visit to our Internet pages as comfortable as possible. These only function with the support of cookies, however. If you continue to navigate on our pages, you agree to the use of these cookies. You can revoke your consent at any time. Please observe here, however, that, for an unhindered navigation on our Internet pages, several ‟basicˮ cookies are indispensable. In addition, these cookies are only used by us to check the efficiency of the Internet pages and to capture the visitor frequency.

Integration of services and contents of third parties

It may be that, within this online service, contents of third parties, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics, for example, are integrated from other Internet pages.

This always assumes that the providers of these contents (in the following called ‟third party providersˮ) detect the IP address of the users. For, without the IP address, the third party pro-viders could not send the contents to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for the presentation of these contents.

Information on the location of the Web server

Processing of the data, which we obtain via our Internet pages, takes place on servers in Germany.

Security

We have taken technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access.

Amendment of our data protection regulations

We reserve the right to amend our security and data protection measures, insofar as this is required as a result of technical development. In these cases, we will also amend our information on data protection correspondingly. Thus, please observe the relevant current version of our data protection policy.

Links

Should you use external links which are available within our Internet pages, then these links are not covered by our data protection policy. When we provide links, we endeavour to ensure that these also observe our data protection and security standards. But we have no influence on the observance of the data protection and security regulations by other providers, however. For this reason, please inform yourself on the Internet pages of the other providers of the data protection policies made available there.

Right to information and right of objection (affected rights)

If you have questions in regard to the recording, processing and use of your personal data by IREKS, we will be glad to give you information free of charge and without delay on the data stored in regard to your person. If you also wish the correction, blocking or deletion of your data or in the case of complaints, a request for information or general questions on the topic of data protection, we will gladly be at your disposal. In this connection, please write to IREKS GmbH, Lichtenfelser Str. 20, 95326 Kulmbach, Reference: Data protection or send an e-mail to the following address: privacy@ireks.com.
