IREKS ON TOUR: Fit for the future – together!

With the occurrence of the pandemic in the last years, many changes have been happening in our lives. While these changes that also affect the world of confectionery products strengthened some established trends, they also enabled the emergence of new trends. Additionally, alternative diets became hot topics for people. We, as a company that follows the international trends very closely, develop specialized products that satisfy the demand resulting from these trends.

As IREKS, one of our priority targets is to make a difference and to raise awareness. Thus, we also attach great importance to our products to create value while they are of high quality and conforming to food safety. Thanks to our event “IREKS ON TOUR” which we organized for this purpose as a roadshow, we had the opportunity to introduce trends such as sustainability, nutritiousness, personalization and fragmentation to our customers.

 

With our roadshow “IREKS ON TOUR” we have been travelling to different cities. Our first stop was İstanbul between September 13 – 15. Our visitors had an opportunity to meet our team and to familiarize themselves with our products during our live tour.

They also showed great interest in our 5 stations that showcase the trends of today and of future.

Our station “Alternative Way of Diet” that is inspired by the idea of “higher quality of life” addresses the alternative ways of dieting like gluten-free diet and vegan diet. This is necessary because gluten and lactose-free products are increasingly in demand worldwide. Additionally, the concept of “Alternative Way of Diet” also brought forth foods with supplements, which are also called superfoods, as a trend for people with the idea of “higher quality of life” even though they don’t suffer from any health issues. Our station with gluten-free and vegan products drew great interest from our visitors.

The station “Flavours of Nature” represents the concept that reflects our motto “experience colours and flavours of nature live.” For consumers of the new generation, foods being tasty is not enough, they have to be natural as well. In this station, we exhibit the tastiness and, at the same time, naturalness to our participants with DREIDOPPEL’s natural aromas.

By combining the concepts of “tastiness,” “naturalness,” and “high quality life” that represent the main idea of the previous two stations, we established a third station called “Special Confectionery Products”. By bringing confectionery products of the future to the present, we place great importance on creating out-of-the-norm recipes, and aim to deliver products that are conforming to alternative diets without compromising the taste. Our confectionery products with ancient grains prepared using different and unique ingredients such as collagen, pollen, propolis and royal jelly mesmerized our guests. Our authentic products prepared by harmoniously combining different components in line with the fragmentation trend appealed to the eyes and the taste buds of everyone.

In our next station, we left our visitors with unforgettable flavours with our real German chocolate, LUBECA. Chocolate is loved by everyone and a type of food that comes to mind when talking about sweets. However, this beautiful sweet is streamlined according to 3 generic categories; bitter, milky, white. We wanted to break away from this cast-in-stone categorization and let our customers experience new and different flavours. As the first step for this, we displayed our new products WHITE CARAMEL and MILK INTENSE during our event.

Even though IREKS is one of the important brands on the confectionery market, its roots are in bakery. We are not forgetting our core competence and continue to build upon it. Within the scope of sustainability, we as IREKS grew a lot of our grains through contracted agriculture and use them after processing them inhouse. This way, we aim to guarantee the high quality of our products. At the same time, we have a complete grasp on the process that grains go through from plantation to customers. In our final station “Bakery & Snacks”, our tasty bread and snacks that are baked from ancient grains were displayed. Additionally, we would like to introduce to you to our new product, “LIEVITO MADRE PURO ATTIVO – active yeast’’ that is a wheat sourdough with mild aroma from Italy.
