  | | | Snack it! – Treats for those peckish moments March: Palaleipä sandwich

| | The Finnish palaleipä has a unique, characteristic taste. It is made from slightly acidified, finely and medium-milled coarse rye grains, rye malt, salt and yeast. Using special technology, the soft dough is dusted with a large amount of finely-milled coarse grain and cut into the desired shape. When wrapped, the baked palaleipä keeps fresh for several days. It is therefore ideal for long transport distances or longer stays in the isolation of the Finnish woods. In addition, it is also good for toasting. Typically Nordic cheeses as well as fish or meat are eaten along with palaleipä. Are you interested in a processing recipe? Our experts will be glad to help. Just ask! |
